Jordan David Dauby was born at McLeansboro, Illinois
on April 23, 1955. He graduated from Enfield Community High School,
Enfield, Illinois in 1973. After a year of study at the University
of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois in 1974, he transferred to
Saint Meinrad College, St. Meinrad, Indiana, and graduated in 1977
with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.
A year of theological studies
followed at the North American College, Rome, Italy, where Jordan
Dauby attended the Pontifical Gregorian University. In 1979 he returned
to Saint Meinrad where he entered the novitiate of Saint Meinrad
Archabbey. He continued theological studies at Saint Meinrad School
of Theology and in the Spring of 1981 attended Indiana University,
Bloomington, Indiana, as a participant in a cooperative program
between the universitys Department of Religious Studies and
Saint Meinrad School of Theology.
While completing the Master
of Arts in Religious Studies at Indiana University (1982), Jordan
David Dauby began a Bachelor of Arts program in art at the University
of Southern Indiana, Evansville, Indiana. After teaching at Antonian
College Preparatory, San Antonio, Texas in the Spring of 1983, he
completed that degree in art and proceeded to follow a direction
in studio with emphasis in printmaking by entering the Master of
Arts program at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois.
Dauby completed a Master of Arts in Studio/Printmaking at Northern
Illinois University in May of 1985. He completed work and studies
for the Master of Fine Arts in May of 1986, with emphasis in Printmaking.
Along with his own artistic endeavors, the artist has undertaken commissioned professional fine art printing and teaching. He is owner and master printer at Dragonfly Foot-Prints & Atelier in Cathedral City, California.
