The Woodscape series represents two types of printmaking which I do without a printing press: woodcut and linoleum print/(linocut). Planes of space are delineated by color ranging from pale blue to cobalt for areas of sky and from yellow greens to dark forest greens for vegetation. Directional lines also help designate spatial areas. Variety is obtained through changing width of incisions made against wood grain, sometimes heightened by "raising the grain" prior to printing.
